Holocaust denial (Contestation de crimes contre l’humanité) – The Court of Cassation overturned the acquittal of a French politician for declaring that “Pétain saved the French Jews,” holding that the Court of Appeal erred in requiring that Pétain himself have been convicted of crimes against humanity and in failing to assess the full scope and context of the remarks, which could amount to denial or minimization of Nazi crimes.
