Case Description: Maurice X..., president of the association "Le Parti National Radical," was prosecuted following the publication of an article titled "Les juifs qui dominent la France" (The Jews who dominate France) in the newspaper Le National Radical. The article was put on sale on June 1, 2010, and distributed in Grenoble on June 19, 2010. The Grenoble Court of Appeal (October 12, 2011) convicted him of provocation to racial discrimination, sentencing him to a 5,000 euro fine and awarding damages to LICRA. The defendant appealed to the Court of Cassation, raising several procedural exceptions. The Court of Cassation dismissed the appeal (REJETTE le pourvoi), confirming the criminal conviction and the fine.
