Defamation of the Jewish community (Diffamation de la communauté juive) – - The Court of Appeal accurately assessed the meaning and scope of the offending remarks, and characterised in all their constituent elements, both material and intentional, the offence of racial defamation upheld in the judgment under appeal - The Court found two journalists guilty of defamation of the Jewish community, following the publication in the newspaper National Hebdo of an article containing a reproduction of an antisemitic statement made on a radio station by one person.
