Compensation for damage to life for her husband (Schaden an Leben) - Plaintiff married in 1929 in her home country in Romania in a religious ceremony (but not under civil law). Her husband allegedly died of a persecution-related illness in 1951. A marriage contracted exclusively according to religious rites is considered a non-marriage in Romania. She is therefore not entitled to any claim for her deceased husband.
