Crimes against Humanity (Crimes contre l'humanité) – The Cour de cassation overturned the decision of the Indictments Division of the Paris Court of Appeal of 13 April 1992, but only insofar as it related to the murder of seven people of Jewish origin in Rillieux on 28 and 29 June 1944. All other provisions expressly upheld - The Indictments Division contradicted itself by declaring that the murders in question did not constitute crimes against humanity, while noting that they had been perpetrated at the instigation of a member of the Gestapo, an organisation declared to be a criminal organisation because it belonged to a country that pursued a policy of ideological hegemony.
