Public racial insult (Injure publique raciale) – The Court of Appeal justified its decision when, in refusing to accept the excuse of provocation put forward by the perpetrator of an antisemitic insult against a Jew – The court argued that the previous day's defamatory remarks made by the Jewish Man did not justify the disproportionate and distant nature of the subsequent attack calling him a "gros zébu fou".
