A former member of the Gestapo was convicted of crimes against humanity. From an organizational perspective, he played a leading role in the deportation of several hundred Jewish people, the majority of whom perished in ghettos or concentration camps. Furthermore, as the head of the Gestapo unit assigned to this specific operation, he was instrumental in establishing a camp for Jewish forced laborers. He also planned and led the liquidation of this camp and the subsequent deportation of the inmates to the Auschwitz concentration camp. During his service, he was further involved in arbitrary and hate-motivated arrests and interrogations, where severe violence was inflicted upon Jewish citizens by the convicted and his subordinates, some of which resulted in fatal injuries. Additionally, victims of these actions were deported to concentration camps, where nearly half were murdered. The appeal was dismissed.
