Defamation (Diffamation) – The assertion that the author of an article was a true and dangerous revisionist because of the value judgement made about events in France during the Second World War did not involve the imputation of a fact that could be proven to be prejudicial to the honour and reputation of the person concerned, but was the expression of an opinion that was purely a debate of ideas, albeit a polemical one.
