Non-public insult (Injure non publique) – The Cour de cassation dismissed the appeal against the decision of a court which found a person guilty of the offence of non-public insult by accusing him of having said, in the course of a private conversation, " I regret that Hitler did not kill more of them [the Jew]" - The Court, after assessing the facts submitted to it, decided in a sovereign manner that a Jewish person had rightly, in his capacity as a Jew, considered himself personally insulted by these words.
