Right to reply / Racial defamation (Droit de réponse / Diffamation racial) – The Cour de Cassation ruled that the appeal court had justified its decision by considering that the remarks made by a woman on a radio station were part of a political struggle in favor of Palestine, and that they constituted the expression of an opinion on the dangers perceived by the Palestinian people, and therefore did not meet the criteria necessary to justify the granting of a right of reply - The woman expressed concerns about how Muslims and Palestinians were perceived in the West, specifically pointing out what she perceived as a crusade-like mentality against Muslims - She attributed part of this perception to the actions of the Jewish community in France, which she claimed was using media warfare to foster fear of Muslims, depicting them as terrorists and savages - She expressed critical views about Israel's policies and their impact on the Palestinian people - She highlighted the influence of what she referred to as the "Jewish lobby" in America, suggesting that this lobby was overly influential in shaping U.S. policies towards Israel, to the detriment of broader peace and coexistence.
