A former member of the fascist Schutzpolizei was convicted of multiple war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in collusion. He had been active in this role since 1939. Holding a leading position in Police Battalion 304 in the Ukrainian SSR, which was temporarily occupied by the fascist German Wehrmacht, he committed one count of murder and participated in the killing of at least 5,300 Soviet citizens of Jewish nationality. The appeal against the judgment of the court of first instance was dismissed.
